Infection Control

Infection control is an important priority in our office.

After each use, instruments are placed in an ultrasonic cleaner, rinsed and then bagged before placement in a heat automated steam cleaner (autoclave) for sterilization. The autoclave is tested weekly for proper function by a biological monitoring service.

Additionally, all hard surface clinical areas are cleaned with disinfectant spray and disinfectant wipes in between each patient. We utilize single use protective barriers on all hard surfaces that are difficult to clean. All needles are single use are discarded in appropriate hazardous medical waste containers. Clinical staff sanitize and/or wash their hands in between patients and wear gloves, mask and protective eye wear.
